Hailing from the Lone Star State, Kayla was born and raised in Texas but is a proud new resident of the Sunshine State. Her passion for digital storytelling, community engagement, trends, and creativity help her elevate UF’s online presence as the social media specialist. Before coming to Florida, she worked as the social media manager for her alma mater, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where she grew their audience by 90% on all social media platforms.
When Kayla isn’t doom scrolling through the endless amount of social media apps, you can find her at the movie theater, the beach, or crossing off a state from her travel bucket list.
